ABOUT GROUNDHOG CAREER SHADOW ACTIVITIES (MIDDLE/SENIOR) As part of the career-exploration activities in middle school and early senior high school, each participating student follows an employee for one or more days to learn about a particular occupation or industry. Groundhog Career Shadow Day(s) is intended to provide students with broad-based exposure to the workplace under the guidance of experienced workers. These activities are designed to help students focus on their career objectives, career portfolios, and to select a career pathway for the latter part of senior high school. DISTRICT GROUNDHOG CAREER SHADOW DAY Middle school students are provided an opportunity to follow a school board employee for a day.
